How to Book

Bookings can be made via our online booking system. If booking in nail art, please send us an inspiration photo PRIOR to booking online, so that we can let you know what package to book. You can book online up until 18hrs prior and up to 3 months in advance.

A booking fee of 50% is required for EVERY appointment for it to be confirmed. This cost covers the time lost due to last minute cancellation, cancellation due to lateness and no shows. This booking fee is subtracted from the final cost on the day of your appointment. All booking require a booking fee to be paid.

  • online bookings - booking fee paid through provider
  • in-salon bookings - paid at time of booking or saved card charged 2 weeks prior (repeat clients with saved card only)

    Appointments without a booking fee will not go ahead. Those using the saved card method will always receive a reminder the day before, if it declines on the due date, we will send a courtesy message and reattempt the next day. Please check the correct card is linked (you can view this via logging into the online booking system) and that funds are available. After we believe enough notifications have been given, your appointment will be cancelled and offered to more reliable clients. If you are unable to follow our policies surrounding the pre-bookings are we are unable to receive the amount when required, you will no longer be able to prebook without payment, these clients can book online instead when they are able to pay a booking fee.

    All appointments take place in our studio in Melton.

     

    We are open Tuesday-Saturday during the day with after hours appointments available on Wednesday and Thursdays. After hours appointments for 6/6:30PM on days other than Wednesday or Thursday can be made depending on availability and incur a 20% surcharge. Public holiday appointments also incur a 20% surcharge. These will not be visible via our online booking so feel free to contact us if this is something you require.

    For nails, please ensure you've booked in enough time for the nail art you want. A standard booking includes time for solid colour gel polish. We have add on time options to extend your appointment. Please contact us to get an estimate of how much time to book on top of the standard appointment. We may not be able to do the set you want on the day if you have not booked enough time, or you may be charged for the time if too much is booked.

     

    When booking an appointment please ensure you do not have any contraindication or conditions that may affect the service being performed. Please ensure you read the information on your service prior by visiting the following pages to ensure you are a suitable candidate for treatment:

     If you arrive with any contraindication in the treatment area (e.g. toenail infection, fingernail damage, eye infection, contagious conditions etc) your appointment may be cancelled or the treatment cannot be performed to its potential. Your booking fee will be terminated if you do not arrive in the appropriate conditions. At RBB the health of ourselves and our clients is highly regarded, therefore we will not risk further damage to any clients or risk contaminating our products. If you are unsure if your condition is workable please contact us PRIOR to booking an appointment.

     

    Payments

    The booking fee is made through our booking system. Final payments on the day can be made via cash or card transaction. Digital receipts can be provided.

    A 20% surcharge applies for any appointments booked on public holidays, or booked upon special request outside our standard work hours.

     

    Arriving on the Day

    Ensure you arrive on time for your appointment, please view our cancellation and lateness policies below.

    Please note this is a home-based business, so when arriving, please remain in your vehicle and message the number included in your email reminder that you have arrived. This way I can confirm i'm ready for your appointment if you may be early, or if the door is unlocked for those on time. Instagram/Facebook/Emails may not be checked regularly during a work day with clients present, please use the number provided. If you are under 16 please bring a parent to sign a consent form (we do not work on under 14 year olds for any service unless stated otherwise).

     

    Cancellations/Lateness

    If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, it may be cancelled as I usually have clients booked in afterwards or do not have the extra time to allocate, you will be charged a termination fee at the cost of the booking fee paid, the same goes for a no-show. For appointments with a duration of 30mins or less, the appointment will be cancelled due to lateness past 5mins. We understand you can get stuck in traffic. So if you live outside of Melton, please leave earlier as even if your lateness isn’t your fault we may not have time to complete the appointment. Any lateness at all may contribute to the service performance as every minute counts. For lash lifts/tints or brow services, some steps may be skipped or shortened if late. All clients are allocated the time of their appointment booked. We will not compromise the reservations of other clients.

    Depending on the treatment, if you’re a little bit late we may be able to do it but not the full treatment, however you will still be charged full price. (e.g you’re 15mins late to your lash appointment I can only do what I can in your appointment slot but you will still have to pay full price to cover time and overheads). Another example is for nails depending on how late you are I may be able to do nails with no nail art/colour, however you may still be charged for art time booked. For lash lifts/tints or brow services, some steps may be skipped or shortened if late. All clients are allocated the time of their appointment booked. We will not compromise the reservations of other clients. Keep in mind the salon is near a school zone so during these times allow extra time, we are also near a railway.

     

    Cancellations or rescheduling with more than 24hrs notice can be done online and the booking fee paid can be refunded or kept as credit. Please note: when cancellations are done online, bookings fees automatically revert to credit, please contact us to process a refund.

     

    If you give me at least 24hrs notice before cancellation i'll happily refund the booking fee or you can keep as credit. In the rare occasion I have to cancel, you will be refunded your booking fee or credited. No shows and excessive cancellers will be banned from rebooking an appointment again. Appointment swaps or rescheduling within 24hrs also count as a cancellation as we can no longer offer your initial slot and your rescheduled slot to other clients without sufficient notice, a termination fee will still apply.

    Please text the phone number in your confirmation email regarding last minute cancellations and rescheduling as Facebook, Instagram & emails are not consistently checked during a working day with clients present.

     

    Changes to appointments with less than 24hrs notice may also count as a "cancellation". If you book in a removal + full set, and no longer require a removal, or book nails + art and no longer want art, that is an entire appointment that could be allocated to another client. You may be charged for the time allocated. This also applies for booking too big of a nail art package or service bundle. Please double check the service description with the inclusions and requirements of a service or contact us to ensure the correct service is booked.

     

    Please understand that this is a small business, each no show or cancelled appointment is time we could've allocated to a more reliable client. The booking fee only covers our time, sometimes not even that.

    Other reasons appointments may be cancelled: (booking fee kept as termination fee)

    • abusive behaviour
    • not following pre-appointment requirements or booking in the wrong appointment (books a full set of nails and arrives with nails already on - description of all services is very clearly written online)
    • previously banned client rebooked under different name
    • excessive difficulty, nit-picking 
    • negotiating prices and booking fee payments
    • failure to deliver booking fee
    • inappropriate behaviour/conversation (politics, racial slurs, etc)
    • history of no shows
    • excessive cancellation history
    • damaging property 

     

    In rare emergency situations where a client cancellation must occur, booking fee will be converted to credit. 

     

      Repairs & Fixes

      If you experience retention issues for your nails/lashes, you may be offered a repair or fix. 

      For eyelash extensions, a one-off fix is offered if there is excessive lash fall-out within the first 3 days and aftercare had been followed. All aftercare instructions are always provided.

      You will not be eligible if:

      • you are on medications or have medication conditions causing hair fall out or excessive growth (this may include hormone-related medications, chemo & more)
      • you are experiencing a seasonal shed (natural lashes shedding causing excess fall out)
      • you are continuously experiencing excessive fall out - our products or the chosen style may not be suitable for you
      • you suffer an allergic reaction
      • lashes are pulled/plucked/rubbed causing fall out
      • you have not been cleansing your lashes
      • change of mind regarding volume size, style or length, we can make changes at your next refill

        If your nails break NATURALLY within 3 days of your appointment, you might be eligible for a free fix.

         

        You will not be eligible if:

        • length is too long for your lifestyle
        • nail bitten or ripped off
        • trauma to the nail (knocked, jammed, caught)
        • nail staining
        • it is a minor imperfection such as: fluff, slightly crooked extension due to crooked finger/nail, staining, melted nail, minor bubbles
        • change of mind
        • imperfection not brought up prior to curing
        • rough with hands
        • not putting hand in lamp properly
        • your natural nails are damaged - less likely to last to begin with
        • you have been made aware that nails may not last due to length, damage, type of enhancement, etc
        • you are continuously losing nails - we cannot keep offering free fixes

           

          Unfortunately, we have been taken advantage of many times regarding free fixes. If you are unable to handle a certain length, the thickness of an extension, being gentle with your nails, not biting the enhancements, or acting with care with rhinestones/decals, you are best to consult us about an alternative option. After the 3 day mark it is from $10+ per nail for a fix excluding cost of any nail art. For nails, please understand the products are cured via UV light, once the design is cured I cannot just wipe it off. You can get the design covered in black polish or pay an additional fee to book a repainting when I am next available. I do not free fixes for change of mind, you will be asked if you're happy with the nails regularly.

           

          When eligible for a free fix we will list times and days we have available around our current appointments. Free fixes are only available to repair/fix lashes or nails that were lost in the 3 days post-appointment. It will not be a refill or new full set/design.

           

          Please note that certain treatment results may be affected by allergies, pregnancy, breastfeeding, medications or medical conditions. This is mentioned on our service pages as well as in our consultation forms. In the case where one of these factors has potential to impact your results, it is at your own risk that you proceed with treatment knowing that you may not receive the ideal result.

          The ACCC states the following regarding refunds for consumers.

          "Consumers are not entitled to a repair, replacement or refund under the consumer guarantees if:

          • they got what they asked for but simply changed their mind, found the product cheaper somewhere else, or decided they didn't like the purchase or had no use for it. However, if a business has a ‘change of mind’ policy, they must follow it.
          • the problem with the product was caused by the consumer misusing it
          • they knew of or were made aware of the problem with the product before they bought it (but they may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund for a different problem with the product that wasn’t made clear to them before they bought it)
          • asked for a service to be done in a certain way against the advice of the business
          • the problem with a service was caused by the actions of someone other than the business."

            Examples of the above in regards to beauty services, in which you are not entitled to a refund:

            • Asking for blue nails then changing your mind to pink nails after application
            • RBB suggesting that a nail enhancement or decal may not last on you for whatever reason, and you choosing to get it done anyways causing them to lift soon after
            • RBB informing you that a Mega Volume lash extension set isn't ideal for your thin, sparse eyelashes but you demanding it get done, and it cause damage to your lash growth.
            • Not following aftercare advice post-treatment leading to insufficient results.
            • Getting a lash lift or brow lamination too soon after previous lift/lamination or when pregnant/lactating which results in overprocessing or underwhelming result
            • Patchy/flakey brow tint/dye on excessively dry skin that was not prepped prior or suitable for treatment as mentioned upon booking 

               

              Please ensure you are certain of your desired outcome prior to the treatment, and confirm with me upon booking that it is something I am capable of, and follow all before and after treatment advice. Check our minimum age requirements.

               

              Salon

              Children are not allowed in the salon for safety reasons as there is plenty of unsafe chemicals and breakables. Any verbal or physical abuse will not be tolerated. Your appointment can be cancelled at any time due to negativity throughout emails, messages and in person. You will be asked to leave immediately and will not be refunded. You will be unable to book in again. There is a bathroom available on the premises as well as drinking water. Driveway and street parking is available, salon entrance is on the left of the property. I do not accept walk-ins, appointments must be made prior to arriving at the premises as it will not be tended to 24/7. Avoid wearing wet (or developing) fake tan to your appointment, as you may be liable for any damage or staining of equipment and furniture.

               

              Loyalty System, Referral Program & Email Marketing

              LOYALTY  SYSTEM - You can collect a business/loyalty card at your appointment which allows you to receive $10 off your 10th appointment. Stamps will be given for each appointment valued over $40. The amount of stamps you have will also be tracked by me, so you will not receive the discount if you have stamped it yourself. 

               

              REFERRAL PROGRAM - You can refer a friend and both get $5 off your next appointment. The friend referred must put your name in notes upon booking, they will get the $5 discount during that appointment, you won't receive your $5 off discount till your referred friend has completed their booking. Referred friend must be a new RBB client. This offer can be used with full price or on special services but not model discounts. Max. of $5 redeemed per appointment, 3 friends = $5 off next 3 appointments, not $15. This cannot be back paid, this is only for future appointments.

              EMAIL MARKETING - For appointments made via the online booking system, you are asked if you want to subscribe to our newsletter. For appointments made via us directly, if you have provided your email in your consultation form, it is automatically added to our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at anytime by selecting 'unsubscribe' at the bottom of any emails. Our newsletter is only used for announcements, deals & discounts and promotion of products/services.

               

              Health & Age Requirements

              As mentioned previously please let me know of any allergies prior to your appointment. Also visit the service pages prior to your appointment to ensure you do not have any contagious conditions in the areas being serviced. Please do not book in if you have any cold or flu-like symptoms. Age restrictions for beauty services do apply. Services are strictly 16+ or 14+ with parental signature unless declared otherwise. 

              Certain health conditions may affect your eligiblity for treatment, it is always best to check with a healthcare professional if you have any health conditions as well as contact RBB. The following may affect your results, limit what we can do during treatment or prevent you from receiving treatment altogether.

              - pregnancy/breastfeeding - (specifically for lash lifts or brow laminations)

              - diabetes - (specifically for pedicures)

              - allergies to product

              - any contagious skin condition or viral infection

               

              Social Media

              During or at the end of your appointment, I may ask if I can take before and/or after photos or video content of my work. It's completely up to you if you're happy for me to do so, I will always ask prior! Photo/video content is only used for social media, website & marketing purposes. For practice/content model services, photography and distribution needs to be consented to in exchange for model discount or you will be charged full price.

               

              Waitlist

              On our online booking system there is an option to join the waitlist. You can select any day that shows availability to see the “join the waitlist” link, even if it's not the date you want, it will redirect you to join the waitlist. We cannot see the date/time selected, only your name and services you have selected prior to clicking the link (e.g. Emily Smith - Full Set Gel X + Basic Art Package). When joining the waitlist please ensure you have preselected the exact services you are wanting to book as we will only notify you of slots that fit that exact time frame or more. A text box option will be provided in which you can list your availability. Please ensure to list days, dates and time’s available. Below is the ideal format we recommend.

              “Wanting an appointment between 1/1-14-1. Available Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5pm, or before 12pm on a Saturday” 

              You will not need to give preference on staff as there is no more than one available. 

              Joining the waitlist DOES NOT secure your spot. We will go through our cancellation list in order of submission, and the first person who fits the time we have available will be contacted as soon as we notice a suitable slot available. You will be contacted by text message. Depending on the slot that is available, it may still show up on our online booking for any client to book at anytime, so we ask that you try to get back to us as quickly as possible. If it is visible online we will send you a link to jump on and book it ASAP, if it is not visible online we will unlock it for you once we have confirmed you want the spot before you can proceed to online booking.

              We cannot control if the spot gets taken by an online booking made by another client stumbling across the slot online while waiting for your response. If you do not respond within a reasonable time (this will depend on how soon the appointment slot is), we may move onto the second waitlist submission and offer it to them and so on before sharing on social media. 

              Joining the waitlist does not reserve you a slot. It is simply a reminder that something suitable is available so you can book online if you still want it. Appointments are not reserved until it is booked online and a booking fee is made. 

              If it has been a week since your initial waitlist request and you have not heard from us, we have not found a suitable slot for you. Please feel free to submit a new request if the dates have now changed. Once your provided dates have passed your submission is deleted, if no dates were provided, only days of the week, it will be deleted after 2 weeks.

              Product Purchases

              We do not offer refunds on products such as press ons, lash cleansers etc for change of mind. We do not offer refunds for products due to allergic reaction. If you believe a product to be faulty or damaged please contact us. Press On Nails are a custom product, we will do our best to recreate similar to your inspiration photo given regarding length, colour, designs, etc. We are not responsible for incorrect sizing (unless sized in-salon by us) or longevity of press on on nails as they are an at-home application and only a temporary product.
